Eclipse 2012
The 2012 eclipse will be an extraordinary event for anyone in Northern Australia and the Pacific Islands. Total solar eclipses are rarely seen as there are limited areas which have the exact line of view. The best spot for seeing the 2012 total eclipse is a small area on the North Queensland Coast which encompasses Cairns, Port Douglas and Daintree.

We are offering a personalised cruise on board MV Northern Nellie; it will depart from our private facility on the Daintree River at 4am on November 14, 2012 and travel 12 kilometers to the mouth of the Daintree River in darkness, arriving at the river mouth at dawn. The total eclipse can be seen from on board the boat or on the beach and glasses will be provided. A tropical breakfast with champagne or juice is included after the eclipse, and a wildlife tour along the Daintree River on our return. Weather conditions are obviously out of our control however it is predicted to be a clear day.
